Aerospace Chemicals

Showa America supplies high-performance materials used in aerospace composites, adhesives, and flame-retardant fibers.

4,4′-Diaminodiphenyl Sulfone

4,4′-DDS. 4,4′-Diaminodiphenyl Sulfone (CAS 80-08-0) is commonly used as a cross-linking and curative agent as well as for the synthesis of polysulfone-based polymer. 4,4′-DDS can be used to formulate structural materials (advanced composite materials) including carbon fiber, specialty reinforcements, resins, honeycomb, adhesives, engineered honeycomb composite structures, and prepregs (and other fiber-reinforced matrix materials). It can be used in special aerospace coating applications.

DPE | 4,4′-Diaminodiphenyl Ether | ODA | 4,4′-Oxydianiline

4,4′-Diaminodiphenyl Ether (DPE), also known as 4,4′-Oxydianiline (ODA), is primarily used as a monomer to produce high-temperature resistant polyimide and poly(ester)imide resins. It is essential in manufacturing insulating varnishes, wire enamels, flexible printed circuits, aerospace composites, adhesives, and flame-retardant fibers.
